Q. Who is affected by the new trash schedules?
A. All single family residential customers in Gilbert.
Q. Will the town still provide same day service?
A. Yes, your recycle and trash will still be picked up on the same day.
Q. Why are these changes necessary?
A. As Gilbert continues to grow, this change is necessary to balance collection areas and be able to service all residents.
Q. Will my pick up day change on holidays?
A. Holidays don’t affect trash and recycle collection, however some holidays impact bulk collection schedules. Please check our website for an up to date bulk schedule.
Q. Do I still need to have my containers out by 5:00 AM on my collection day?
A. Yes, please continue to place your containers out no later than 5:00 AM on your collection day.
Q. Do I need to place my blue recycle container out each week?
A. No, please only place your blue container out when it’s full.
Q. Who do I contact if my container is missed?
A. Please contact customer service at 480-503-6400.
Q. Do I still need to have my bulk items out by 5:00 AM on Monday of my collection week?
A. Yes, please continue to place your bulk items out no later than 5:00 AM on Monday of your collection week.
Q. Will both my containers be picked up at the same time?
A. No, they will be picked up at different times since we recycle the material in the blue barrel and landfill the items in the trash barrel. Our operators work from 5:00AM until the routes are completed, so please leave your barrels out until they have been picked up.
